Strange monolith appears in Australian bush

Deep in the Australian bush a strange monolith has appeared overnight raising suspicions that it may be connected with other mysterious monoliths appearing around the world.
It was discovered 2 days ago in the sleepy coastal hamlet of Woy Woy after a man walking his dog stumbled across it.
"I immediately thought it was a UFO or something out of this world" said the local man who wishes to remain nameless.
Redditt users soon tracked down Google Earth imagery and discovered the object had sat there undiscovered since the late 70's and seemed to change colour every 10 years.
It's a real mystery said one local "It seems to be some sort of sculpture done by a local artist"
Redditt users claim it may be the work of prolific artist Sydney Waters who has made dozens of similar type installations in the hills along the east coast of Australia

What ever happened to Spike Anderson ?

Back in my early web days I bought the URL woy-woy.com and ended up teaching myself how to build websites and had various incarnations of Good Old Woy Woy in HTML back before web 2.0
Around 2008 I got onto the latest fad which was blogging and set up my blog All Things Woy and for a few years I blogged regularly until Myspace and Facebook began dragging people away from the old forum and blog formats.

During this time I found a few other local bloggers and one guy named Spike Anderson who had a blog called Woy Woy Walkies, he basically walked down one road every few days and took pics of interesting houses, oddities and scenery and then blogged about it.
It was part of a world wide interest in "walking blogs" where people shared the experiences in different places, he blogged regularly and his stuff was always informative and funny and he gave me much inspiration for my own sites.
He blogged regularly for several years and had over half a dozen different blog pages, the last one dedicated to Woy Woy was called This Isn't Sydney

In 2010 he regularly noted he was sick and sometimes there was no post for the week some weeks and then it just stopped.
There were some coding errors that got his blogs all out of whack and he was having trouble posting but judging by the comments left on some of his posts there has been no sign of him for many years
I have asked a few times in various web places about Spike but to no avail, his blogs are all still online today
A lot of people loved his work back then but it seems he may not be with us anymore and that's a bloody shame.
